Denise Zimmerman

Denise Elizondo Zimmerman if from Kingsville, Texas. She is an H.M. King High School graduate, received her Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, double majoring in Political Science and History. She went on to study law and earn her Juris Doctorate at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, passing the Texas Bar exam and became certified to practice law in 2003. Since then she has been an active member of the State Bar of Texas, opening up her practice, which is now located in Kingsville, Texas. She primarily practices in the areas of family law, divorce, estate planning, and probate. Denise has devoted many hours to become qualified in handling high conflict legal issues by becoming certified as a Collaborative Law Attorney, a Mediator, a Parenting Coordinator and a Parenting Facilitator. She is also certified by the State Bar of Texas to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem.

Denise is an experienced mediator having mediated elder law issues, civil issues and high conflict family matters. Being trained in alternative disputes resolution allows Denise to assist her clients to resolve their differences without the expensive costs of litigation.

Denise’s family practice includes, divorce, child custody matters, adoptions, terminations, and CPS cases. Denise believes that everybody should have a fair chance and fights hard for what her clients deserve. She makes her professional opinion heard and known in the courtroom for she is aggressive with her actions in the court room and carries those characteristic to her office outside the court room, where she works diligently on all of her cases. Denise practices law in all counties throughout the South Texas Region but, is also familiar with all courts across the State of Texas.

Denise is also a Collaborative Law Attorney, which allows couples to find a respectful resolution, that creates an emotionally safe environment for children and allows the parties to resolve their conflict without going to court. Collaborative divorces are a private and a confidential process.

Denise is a qualified parenting coordinator and parenting facilitator who helps parties work through conflicts and helps implements parenting plans. As a parenting facilitator Denise helps parents resolve high conflict issues and often takes a supervisory role, making sure that parents comply with the parenting plan and act in the best interest of their children.

Denise is also active in the community and serves as a Board Member for the Kleberg County Adult Literacy Council. She is also a proud supporter of the Kleberg Kenedy Junior Livestock Show, Kingsville and Bishop youth baseball and softball, and is active with other community organizations and activities throughout the year.
